Important Message Regarding DCAT Week

Hello, I’m Sean Diver, President of the Drug, Chemical and Associated Technology Association . Thank you for following the link from our eBlast to DCAT’s website and to this video.
In 2020, the DCAT Board of Directors postponed our DCAT Week event until July of 2021 with the hope that the vaccine rollout would be nearing completion and business travel would be approaching a level of normalcy. Despite the quick development of effective vaccines by our industry (including some of our member companies), there are still a number of variables outside of our control that could put our community at risk, adversely influence the attendee experience and detract from the overall success of a large, in-person meeting in New York City. For those reasons, we are again postponing the in-person portion of DCAT Week until March of 2022.
We, of course, have been planning for this possibility. We will be offering a virtual version of DCAT Week 2021 from July 12-16 that will include our Member Announcement Forum, the Pharma Industry Outlook program, executive insights on manufacturing, drug development and supply chain management, as well as a keynote address by Dr. Jennifer Doudna, a biochemist known for her pioneering work in CRISPR gene editing for which she was awarded the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
In the spirit of DCAT Week, during the week of July 12-16, we urge you to set up some time to meet with your customers, suppliers and partners. And, if during a typical DCAT Week, you don’t often take the time to get to one of our educational sessions – here’s your chance. Program and registration information will be available on our website on or about April 15th.
For those of you who may have questions about payments for business meeting spaces, sponsorships and annual dinner tables that were rolled over, please consult the Governance Section tab on our website and find our policy statements. Of course, if you have further questions, don’t hesitate to contact our staff.
We thank our member companies for your patience and understanding and most importantly for your continued support of the organization and the industry’s most notable event, DCAT Week. We can’t do it without you!
We look forward to seeing you in March 2022 in New York City when we hope we can deliver a DCAT Week with the caliber of industry activities and programming that you have come to expect.
