DCAT Volunteer Spirit Award Recipients Announced

Robbinsville, New Jersey February 19, 2020 – The Board of Directors of the Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association is pleased to announce that it is honoring two of its long-term volunteers with the DCAT Volunteer Spirit Award: Lori Hoffman, Senior Director, Alliance Management at Frontida BioPharm, Inc. and Scott Price, Vice President, Sales at Ren-Pharm International. Ms. Hoffman and Mr. Price will receive their awards at the Volunteer Luncheon on March 25, 2020 during DCAT Week in New York City at the InterContinental Barclay Hotel.

This distinguished award was created to honor and recognize individuals with outstanding, long-term service to the DCAT organization. Recipients of this award have shown a passion for volunteering that ultimately has enriched the professional aspects of our member’s lives.

“This award recognizes outstanding volunteers who create, innovate and serve in a way that strengthens the overall organization,” said DCAT President Paolo Magri (Advitech SA). “I can’t think of two more worthy recipients. Their leadership and contributions have been an enormous part of the organization’s success.”

In addition, she has served on the Education Committee and its task forces to develop programs for DCAT Week and Sharp Sourcing.

Scott Price has served on the Science & Scholarship Committee since 2014 and as its chair for the past four years. During his tenure, the committee partnered with the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) to award scholarships to promising young scientists around the globe and to support ISEF’s Education Outreach Day that brings underserved students to the event. Currently, the committee is planning an Industry Career Exploration Day for DCAT Week 2021.
