Dr. Brian Moshofsky has been studying chemistry for the last twelve years, including work in an academic research environment for the past eight years, where his expertise is nanoscience and passion for teaching thrived. Brian is the author of seven published journal articles and hopes to use his practical experience to perform dazzling demonstrations that expose his students to what working as a scientist is really like.
Brian has been teaching since his undergraduate studies, when he would spend his time out of the classroom to tutor high school students in chemistry, math and physics. He enjoys learning as well as teaching and continues to learn by taking free online classes through websites like Coursera, and participating in workshops for electronics and programming tinkering.
As a true Oregon native, Brian enjoys hiking, rock climbing and being in the wilderness. In addition, he stays active through yoga and playing basketball, and even played in a semi-professional basketball league during his PhD work in Israel.
