Press Release

Supporting Scholars in Science & Engineering

Robbinsville, NJ, USA, June 28, 2017 – For the seventh straight year, the DCAT Scholarship Golf Outing returned to TPC Jasna Polana in Princeton, New Jersey on June 26, 2017. The weather was picturesque on this Gary Player course, which is a favorite of DCAT members and their guests. With over 130 golfers in attendance, the scene was perfect for attendees to meet in a relaxed setting and support DCAT’s Scholarship initiatives while experiencing golf in a manner usually only enjoyed by PGA TOUR professionals.

Sponsorship dollars from this golf outing directly support DCAT's participation as a Special Awards Sponsor at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF). On May 18, 2017, volunteers from DCAT's Science & Scholarship committee presented three scholarships at the Intel ISEF Special Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles, California. As a Special Awards Organization, DCAT had the opportunity to award $3,000 to three selected projects, as well as $2,000 to each of the respective winners’ high schools to support STEM education.

Volunteers and sponsors make all the difference

Without the cooperation and tremendous effort of many individuals, and the generous support of DCAT member companies, the golf outing would not be possible.

Thanks are extended to Science & Scholarship Committee Chair Scott Price of Ren-Pharm International and committee member Pam Tyler of DPT Laboratories, and event day volunteers Susan Billings of AMRI, Lindsay Pruitt of Novasep and Mona Sisodia from Rising Pharmaceuticals Inc.

The success of the golf outing was guaranteed by our generous sponsors. Thank you!
