Robbinsville, NJ, USA October 24, 2016 --The Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association is pleased to announced the appointment of the chairs of its standing committees for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. As a volunteer-driven organization, the DCAT organization relies on these individuals and their respective committees to identify member needs and manage initiatives as they relate to the organization’s mission and strategic plan.
Gavin Murdoch, senior director, strategic partnerships at Patheon Inc. will chair the Education Committee which is charged with identifying the educational needs of the membership and creating quality, value-added programs to enhance the membership’s knowledge, professionalism and business development goals. The Education Committee and its task forces are in the process of finalizing the slate of education programs and speakers for DCAT Week ’17.
Scott Price, vice president, sales at Ren-Pharm International will chair the Science & Scholarship Committee which is responsible for identifying the needs of today’s students and educators and providing them with assistance through a variety of projects, grants and member-supported initiatives. This committee’s Golf Outing Task Force is responsible for raising funds for scholarship programs at its annual event.
Sally Macaluso, vice president, R&D procurement at Johnson & Johnson will chair the Supply Management Committee which focuses on identifying the educational needs of individuals working in supply management. The committee is currently developing quality, value-added programs regarding issues and trends that influence the supply chain for DCAT Week ’17 and DCAT Sharp Sourcing 2017.
Erin O’Brien, senior director, product management, vial containment and delivery at West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. while chair the Marketing Committee. This new committee is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s marketing efforts effectively fulfill the organization’s overall marketing strategy, are tailored to targeted audiences and enforce the DCAT brand.
Lori Hoffman, senior consultant at PharmaBioSource, Inc. will chair the Women in Pharma Committee. This new committee will focus on the development of programming to promote the advancement of women in the pharmaceutical industry. As part of their responsibilities, they will manage and plan the Women’s Networking Breakfast during DCAT Week.
